In today’s staff meeting I will share my thoughts on:
What is Athletic Leadership
What is an Ideal High School Football Practice Schedule
What is an Ideal High School Baseball Practice Schedule
Take what makes you better and save the rest for later.
Let’s Dive In!
What is Athletic Leadership
Athletic leadership involves guiding and motivating a team to achieve their goals, both on and off the field. It requires effective communication, setting a positive example, and fostering teamwork among athletes. Good athletic leaders inspire their teammates, exhibit strong work ethic, and make decisions that benefit the team's success.
Notice the statement says “on and off the field.”
Make a difference in the kids life and help them learn right from wrong.
No where does it say win a championship!
Winning is nice and rewarding, but some schools have a tough time for multiple reasons.
Next time you face a low performing school and that coach has a team that competes like hell and they play better than they should you know the coach is doing a great job! Let them know you admire the work they do and respect his efforts.
By doing this simple gesture of acknowledging his efforts you both are displaying athletic leadership. You because of your professional gesture and the other coach at a low performing school because he is able to take a “bad” team and make them “compete" no matter the environment.
MEAL PREP (SAVE MONEY - EAT WELL - STAY FIT)
There are several benefits for meal prep as a high school coach:
Time-Saving: It saves time during the week because you've already prepared your meals in advance, reducing cooking and cleaning time on busy days.
Healthier Eating: You have more control over your ingredients, portion sizes, and nutritional content, making it easier to stick to a healthy eating plan.
Saves Money: Buying ingredients in bulk and cooking at home is often more cost-effective than eating out or buying pre-made meals.
Consistency: Meal prepping helps you stick to your dietary goals or restrictions since you've already planned and portioned your meals.
Reduces Food Waste: You're less likely to waste food because you use ingredients efficiently and can plan meals around perishable items.
Less Stress: Knowing you have meals ready can reduce stress associated with figuring out what to eat each day.
Customization: You can tailor your meals to your tastes, dietary needs, or fitness goals.
Overall, meal prepping is a valuable tool for those seeking convenience, health, and financial benefits in their daily eating habits.
